What are we looking for?.
The Capability Drive team are hosting the Capability Drive Development day on the 31st March 2023.
This will be a full-day online event with 45 minute presentations and question slots, and 15 minute breaks in between each presentation.
The Theme: Product Ownership and Business Analysis - Where does one stop and the other start, or does it?
At this conference we want presentations that answer some of the following questions:
-
What is business analysis and product ownership in the context of each other?
-
What are the common and unique skills between the roles?
-
Are there distinctive career pathways?
-
How do the two roles work with each other?
Besides the above questions, we would like to see paper submissions that:
- Talk about the two roles of Business Analysis and Product Ownership
- Give people insight, tools, knowledge and skills to be better in these roles
- We are looking for unique insights
- We are looking for presentations that engage people
- If you have a handy handout for attendees to take away, even better
Use the above as guidelines to help you with your presentations rather than seeing them as being prescriptive.
We want our delegates to get value they can apply in their roles.
Skills and Techniques Workshops
We are also looking for Skills and Techniques workshops for the day that align with Product Ownership and Business Analysis. We are looking for:
- Two hour slots
- That teaches skills and techniques people can use
- Helps build people's capabilities either as a Business Analyst or a Product Owner
Use the Link below to apply to present and/or deliver a workshop.
Some Tips to writing your Paper
-
Engage the Audience
We are looking for presentations that don't only present your thoughts, but also engage the audience with interaction and discussion.
-
Don't try to cover A to Z of your topic
Less is better than too much. However, too little is not enough. Ensure that we can understand the flow and points. Also how you going to engage your audience.
-
Put yourself in your audience shoes
What would you make you feel engaged? What will the audience learn that they can apply in their world?
-
Think about
What would you like to hear about?
How could you add value to delegates?
What problems could you solve?
